with all the people saying holland will beat romania. think out side the box.

netherlands will surley play a second team to rest players for the next stage thus giving romania a big chance. look at portugal and switzerland

Exactly, but I wouldn't want them to ruin their record. Maybe go for a draw, it could still help Romania go through. They have better GD.

Is it true that Henry's nickname is Timbo? I saw it once somewhere, but not sure anymore,so please help...

Considering the placement in group C,I think Holland will play with second squad but still think that Romania can't beat them,no disrespect for Romanian team, but they aren't so much better than Poland, and Holland is better than Croatia, and still Croatian second team beat Poland's first...on the other hand there's that Portugal-Switzerland match, so after all, everything is possible :) (anyway,I wish that France go through :D)

I'm so fucking glad to live right now, in this insane time of Phelps, Bolt and Lin Dan...(if I start numbering all great footballers it would take tooooo much space...)

The Dutch do not have a 'second team', all their players are class acts and they will not lie down and let romania get a result.

Romania have it all to play for, win gurantees they go through, but as I say Nederlands will not lie down, they will play their football as usual. It is disrespect to other opponents to gift a result to any team.

Romania can of course draw and go through, but they must play attacking against the dutch or they will get no where, Holland can play out of tight positions and in the open field on the counter, the only way to counter their threat is to attack also.
Mutu will be a danger and the spirit of the romanians is good as long as they play well to start with. A goal for them would make it a very good game, if they score first.

But Romania are even more unnatractive and France, well i have no words for France.

yea i agree with the point about that Gomis guy. It's really frustrating to watch that idiot play on the field, acting like he's a world-class player. Not only that but im a big fan of Nasri and Benzema and both can play up front. Not only that but the have more experiance and have proven to be better players. Raymond Domenech should stop putting Gomis on, he hasn't produced anything in 2 games

benzema has been shite this tourney too,
actually i cant think of 1 french guy who has been ok, not even ribery has done anything,
maybe coupet or trezeguet, mainly cos 1 wasnt even selected!!
end of an era

So if you want to go through to the next round, you have to play shit the first two games, then injure the other team's best player, then get a cheeky penalty and be up a man, then score a fluky deflected free-kick.

Good morning, Borg. That's the way they've been playing for about 50 years now.

They're the favorites to win it now, imo.

hmm you can hardly say France or Romania deserved to go through. Also as for them injuring the other teams player, i wouldnt blame Italy for that. It was just one of those things, wasnt even much contact at all.

Italy are gonna miss Gattuso and Pirlo in the Quarters.

What pete said was exactly correct!
