Out of respect for his home country he didn't celebrate much after his goals.

I have a feeling Podolski is going to have a great shot at starting over Klose for Bayern next season. Either that, or he'll take Schweinsteiger's position out wide. He's been playing well at the end of the season, and is getting better now that he's fit after his knee injury.

Croatia played like shit after the first 15 minutes. Kranjcar and Petric were invisible. Austria looked much more impressive than I thought. Too bad the two host nations got screwed in the opening games.

I am pulling for Austria.  They looked so pitiful at first.  Like kids in the schoolyard.  They had no chemistry.  Then they pulled it together and should have gotten something from that game.  Croatia disappointed

Weren't only Kranj?ar and Petri? invinsible. I think only Oli? gave his best and played something out there.
Anyway,it's interesting how two 'Germans', both with Polish descent have beaten Poland (first goal Klose for Podolski and the second one,no it's not mistake, again Klose for Podolski :))

I'm so fucking glad to live right now, in this insane time of Phelps, Bolt and Lin Dan...(if I start numbering all great footballers it would take tooooo much space...)

So frustrated at Podolski.. What a traitor. Did he really have to have that smug on his face after the second goal?
If this'd been 1940 Hitler would've been raping his mom..
Fx blesses himself before a patw combo, Tiernan blesses himself before a neck to sole transition.... but hey thats next generation

Give him a break. He didn't even celebrate his first goal and the second goal was a beauty. You could tell he didn't want to rub it in at all.

Don't agree. He had a freaking smug and it frustrated me wether you like that or not. His smile was so frustrating to watch. He's a traitor wether you like it or not - running around speaking Polish with Klose and guess what language he will speak with his Polish wife and kids when he gets home.. What a German..
