Sup all.  My name is George and I have never really been serious about freestyle because I am primarily a footballer.  I'm 18 years old I play college soccer here in the United States and hopefully I can break through and play in the MLS (small league, still pays though). 

Anyways, I'm basically a beginner combowise... atw-atw-cross type things, lower moves are pretty advanced... no experience with sits and uppers.

Hopefully I learn more and who knows, maybe I can make something of myself via freestyle.

Nice to see someone older and with soccer experience.  I'm from Dallas and I played NCAA II a few years ago.  Check out the soccer forums as well if you're into footy.

MLS is not small league my friend. Don't act like it is, because some unknowing foreigner claims it's shit. I played college, PDL, and some pro indoor. I'm still looking to find new places to play, but it's difficult to break into teams in the US.

It's too damn hard here.  You either make it in the MLS or it's just not worth it.  Other countries allow you to play in the 2nd or 3rd division and still make more than MLS.

MLS is getting better though.  Not a bad league at all.  Attendance is way up and I think it ranks 5th on average world wide.  The new teams are impressive.

Post some highlights of yourself if you have any.  As you can see, redforlife and myself are soccer nuts.

MLS is way better than the pay it gives. It's bullshit to be honest. The lower divisions as well for that matter. I've seen absolute garbage players in L2 in England getting over 50k pounds a year. It's ridiculous. Also, college soccer works against the player. It's popular among society, but it screws the players. PDL and NPSL are better. If it wasn't for the system, I'd rather have just played in those leagues than college. Also, the American geography makes it very difficult. If I don't make it here, I'd have to travel to another state to find another team. Most countries there would be 3-4 teams within a 4hr drive, maybe many more depending where you live.

I go to Davidson College.  Midmajor team at best but we gave #2 Chapel Hill their first loss last year and gave a scare to #10 Wake Forest this year. Finished terribly this year with only 6 wins...  whatever.

Nice searching my man, that video was pre-knee surgery so what pace I had is significantly lessened  .  I agree with you about the college soccer bullshit... Very political, and constrains players creativity, not a fan.

George, what knee injury did you have?  I've had 2 ACL reconstructions and I'm getting my 3rd tomorrow.  I definitely know what you mean when you say you lose some pace and quickness.

As far as the college system goes, I think you are both right.  16-20 are the most vital years in development and it's when pros are separated from amateurs.  Here we just send them to college for drinking and average development.  Doesn't work.  They are starting some academies for top club teams and it seems the MLS teams are taking some of the top young players before they ever go to college.  Step in the right direction.  FC Dallas is doing well with this right now.

I had a partially torn patella that I had been playing on, and then scar tissue removal after that surgery left me with scar tissue galore.
