I was trying to grow a beard during No Shave November but it looks terrible and patchy.  My brother grew a mean one though:

Your brother's is much better. I can grow a baller stache in about 1wk, so I may post a pic soon. What style do we wanna see? Be reasonable. I can't grow those curls or the 2ft long hang in less than a year.

On a more normal note, go with a really thick classic one, like the guy on There Will Be Blood.  When it's all said and done, post an animated gif of the daily growth.
