You should do something to properly prepare you muscles for any type of exercise. Ideally, you would warm up for 10-15min then stretch your muscles. You are probably fairly young, so it won't matter as much for you now as it will later. Just make sure that you do a proper warm up before progressing to the more physically demanding movements.

Stretching after a workout can help prevent soreness a little bit as well, so if you stretch for a little bit after each training session, you would benefit from it. Also, stretching regularly will build flexibility more than anything else. It's always useful for a freestyler to be more flexible.

To learn to succeed, you must first learn to fail.
It's what you do that counts, but it's how you do it which separates you from the rest.
You can't have creativity unless you leave behind the bounded, the fixed, all the rules.

-Don't break combos.
-Don't use crossovers to save combos.

There are two stretches that stretch the hip flexor that I know. I use these alot since the hip flexor gets alot of stress when playing soccer.

1. Put one knee on the ground and plant your other foot flat on the ground in front of you. Keep your back straight up in this position with your hands on your hips. From here you will thrust your groin forwards. This will stretch your hip flexor.

2. Sit down on you butt. Have one leg straight out in front of you and the other leg crossed over the top. You want your crossed leg to be bent, and you will hug your knee into your chest. This will stretch your hip flexor and some other muscles in your hips and butt.

Even more important than these two stretches is probably warming up your muscles before stretching. Do some exercises where your are moving your hips slowly to loosen them up before you get into stretching or playing.
