A10s deserved a ban... there was no doubt about it. If we are going to follow our rules, he should have been banned a long time ago.

Those other people you speak of, they left because they wanted to. Nobody pushed them out. Their karma was often low because of the way they posted. That's not our fault. Some of you need to stop feeling sorry for members.

I really want this place to be laid back without any cards or bans, but that doesn't always happen. Sometimes members push it too far and we have to take action. I want to keep this place growing and part of that means being nice to members and let them have their way. At some point you have to draw a line though. We don't want to lose our good long-term members because they get tired of the crap posts they keep seeing from spammers.

I'm gonna  make a general comment here and say that although we shouldn't drive members out, a line needs to be drawn. Tito this has nothing to do with ageism, its to do with post quality. a10s was actually starting to post well, but then he made more accounts  :down: Chris C is still here I think, but on the first day he made 140 posts, many of which were spam. He got carried away, but it was his first day. We should have cut the guy some slack. Some people need to chill out, and some people need to understand why some posts may annoy other members. Anyways, whats done is done, and we should keep it that way.

dalefreestyle spammed alot at his first day...he made topics that were already posted etc....

I have unbanned Dale Freestyle to give him another chance since he was a new member. That's the last chance he'll get though.

yeah i know they spam but i'm saying maybe warning would be better and if messaged about what they are doing instead of badmouthing them they would probably see their mistake and change
Yusuffreestyle was about his karma and i know too much that i don't want to expose of the reason why he left i'm been on MSN with him alot his a nice guy and made good post

and for those that said its not about age i'm not saying it because their young no one ants them i'm saying their less mature and abit just abit childish, no one if perfect and every one needs chances

also the ill inbalance of Karma where you see some on below -100 and most on -1 to -80 and little in the 20tyies and all of a sudden i speak my mind and lose over 10 karma points i don't get what i did i'm not asking for it but showing if someone speaks their mind they lose karma the only way to survive is to be a sheep and i also saw 2^zef (or what ever him name is) on -19 karma and after i gave him one for his topic he got up to -3 just shows mods don't look for good members with bad karma to fix but instead just give it to them self or the same people
and Lilmanic is right theres a problem with this site its become unattarctive to guest we'll get less new member and i'll noticed that most of the new members have been freestylers and barly post in the general section because everyone is always ganging up on one person (most recently A10s) and no one has made a direct coment or reply to my reply to Oli 1st post in this thread

Tito, you have a point. But I think you should view the issue objectively and ask yourself what you would do about various members who make redundant posts, and who go off topic alot. They are in a more difficult position than you, and I think it is unfair for you to be pointing the finger all the time. That being said, we do neeed to be a bit more laid back. But overrall, I think the mods are doing a good job.

honestly when i was admin on A10s website it had the same type of member but i messaged them and gave them warnings, showd them the post they were making and what its doing to the website and in a flash their behaviour changed i'm not saying they don't spam but to be honest don't we all from time to time message can do alot positivly and negativly

That being said, we do neeed to be a bit more laid back. But overrall, I think the mods are doing a good job.

Omg age has nothing to do with it. I didnt even know you were 14-15 until not so long ago. Jonothonhehu is in the negative karma because if you remember not so long back he had a message sayin for people to boo him. Chris C, i dont know, A10 deserved to be banned. He has said so many times he doesnt care about karma, and then he goes and makes fake accounts just to raise it right after borg fixed it. So he doesnt have an excuse there. He brought this onto himself.

Oh yeah, and the idea of borg wanting to be the youngest member on the forum is just STUPID!!!
