Do you forget tricks?
« on: Jul 08, 2012, 12:16: PM »
Recently i was trying some tricks that i had not done in a very long time. Tricks like matw, toe-bounce, lipstall and i was surprised that i could still do them easily.

Of course these are very easy tricks so it is hard to forget the technique (or easy to re-learn), but i was still kinda surprised.

It is summer and I already forgot all my school-work i learned only a month ago  but i don't forget fs tricks.

So do you think it is possible to forget a trick technique after learning it?
forget Ronaldinho....only one deserves the -inho suffix......Jabarinho!!!!

Nam the Man talked about this on the stream.  He said he doesn't train to learn new tricks, he trains to "maintain" his freestyle ability.

With that in mind, it sounds very possible to lose your skill if you don't practice.  I guess you need to practice even the easier tricks at least sometimes to keep them consistant.

I don't forget tricks, I just fail to do them because it is kinda hard to maintain all of them. I need to practice combos, my weak foot, nt's so I kinda forgot Palle move. Even if I can do it most of the time, it ain't that good from when I learned it and tried if for a week in a row.

YOu can forget them but never fully. They will return very fast if you were good at them before.
I'm a beginner, help me!

It's just like returning from a long term injury.

say you done the trick before, now you train something else, even though your not training the same tricks everyday, or weekly, as long as your touching the ball and doing other tricks the touch for the last old trick will still remain.
if you stop training completely its a dif story
