the match was not boring at all. The technical quality of Spain's passing was the highest level. Those reverse passes, one-twos and through balls were amazing.

De Rossi and Marchisio were not as energetic as usual. I saw De Rossi got a small cut on his knee in the first half which probably affected him. The key was Spain closing down Pirlo quickly every time.

Torres wins the top scorer title btw :sign0065:
forget Ronaldinho....only one deserves the -inho suffix......Jabarinho!!!!

Fernando Torres was actually quite good when he was on the field for Spain, so I'm not surprised at all that he won the golden boot.

There was some pretty football, but from a competitive view point, it was definitely boring. The 1st half wasn't boring. It was quite interesting seeing Spain adapt to not having over 60% of the possession. They did a great job of defending as a unit counter attacking quick and effectively.

Overall, I think Italy made two defensive errors in the 1st half. Great counter attacks by Spain to create the two goals, but you would expect better defending from Italy. 2nd half was ruined by the injury causing Italy  to play with 10 men. Any chance that Italy had to come back was ruined from that.

This was surprising, I guess the media really got to Spain. I'm glad the Chelsea boys got 3 cups this year. The happiness from Mata when Torres past the ball in front of goal made me want to play football.

Spains midfield was just a level above Italy's. If only Spain played like this the entire tournament..
I'm a beginner, help me!

chelsea 2 - 0 italy
haters going to hate
respect to both teams, i think italy will be a resurgent force if they keep improving, if they hadn't made so many mistakes in the first half it would be more even, they lost their confidence and it was all downhill, compounded by playing with 10 men
- i wonder if andrea pirlo will be around in the next tournament, he is an absolute legend same with buffon and di natale and cassano
spain rules

Spain - the best international team to ever play.

At the same time, the most boring team as well. :015:
