the group stage match with these teams was a draw and i'm expecting another close game. Maybe a penalty shoot out. Spain look weaker than previous years and Italy are on form now. But anything can happen in a final.

I honestly hope Torres gets the start.

i'll support italy for it, i've become a mercenary fan this tournament, buit it's close, if spain wins i hope torres has a starring role, and Mata should too

Spain putting on a passing clinic here :13: They make those precision through balls look so easy. Italy had a small period of decent play but Spain are defending great and look better overall.

The important thing is that Spain continue to keep Pirlo off the ball.

Boring anti-climatic final. 1st half was interesting, because the teams kind of reversed roles of how I expected them to play. Italy actually outpossessed Spain. Spain defended soundly, and they scored two very nice goals on the counter attack. 2nd half might have been interesting if Italy weren't playing with 10 men most of the half. Ruined it for me. Made it far too easy for Spain to find their comfort zone and just pass the game out.
