Promoting Freestyle on Youtube

OK, guys... I really think the best way to bring new members on here is through Youtube.  Facebook would be good too, but I think we could utilize Youtube more.

What are some ideas you all have?

Here's what I'm thinking:

1) Create a BF account and leave comments on videos telling people about BF.  Leave a comment about the video as well but add something about the BF forum.

2) Add freestylers as friends and send them messages about the forum.

3) Create a promo video of sorts.

I think 1 and 2 would have the most success.  Maybe we can even message people about the next competition with something like "we have a new competition starting next month; check out our site and take part."

What ya'll think?

On Facebook, I think a good idea would be to message freestyle group admins and ask them to post a link to our forum.  Someone else brought this idea up before.

Thoughts?  Let's think of some creative ways to promote and expand our forum.

do a clip with crazy skills for example beck homie jay atw - atatw nt and at the end of video write "VISIT BF FORUM FOR MORE..."

Yeah, this would work somewhat, but I wanna think of some other stuff as well. 

I just sent out messages to some freestyle group admins to see if they can post links to our forum on their pages.

I still think sending messages to Youtube users would be great.  There are tons of comments on freestyle videos on Youtube.  We need those people to come on here and post.

Does Beyond Football have it's own youtube account? If not, Adi you should make one. Get many freestylers to send you videos to upload. Ask all of the members of the forum to subscribe. This may be a good publicity thing for youtube. Now, we just gotta figure out do you only upload select freestylers videos or do you upload everyone that wants to send a video to you. Could be a pain in the ass, but having that many people wanting you to upload a video might help you get the word out.

Jason, we don't have an official BF account yet, but we need to.  This will be the first step.

We will need one or two people to manage it as well.  I'm thinking Yen and Royal would be great for it.  You could manage as well if you'd like.  Would be quality to have all three of you. 

Let me know who's interested and we'll get that launched first.

I'd be willing to do it. Would be good promotion for my own company. I'd be more than willing to submit stuff for it. Maybe when Ecuabol breaks that new latw record, we can upload it to the BF account. He told me he will do it by the end of the summer. We've also filled out the proper paper work to make an official Guinness World Record as well.

You should also look into finding a decent royalty free music site. I know that good music helps make videos more interesting and most royalty free music sucks. The thing is that if you use royalty free music, you can become a partner, and partners can get promoted by Youtube to get the word out more like Macca's L2F channel. That's the main reason he gets so many views on Youtube is his partnership deal.

Good tip.  You guys can tweak the account setting to enable partners, etc.
