the way i see it is that there are more positives than negatives on the forum. If you look back in old threads there have always been disagreements, arguments etc but those few threads didn't bring down the activity in the old days.

I appreciate this forum and all the effort Adi and others put into it to building it and maintaining it. So i agree with redsforlife, more people should try to contribute too. There are over 4000 members signed up here.

But it depends on how you see it. Some guys may see more negatives than positives.

At least I caught your attention. Forums run off posts. If people are not posting, there is no point in having a forum. If you disagree with what I said, I guess you don't want to be a part of a forum. Also, there is a difference between debate and discussion and petty arguments. The whole point of a forum is to discuss similar and different views. If we all agreed, this world would be a very boring place. Really though, all good forums have arguments. It's only natural. If you are offended by arguing, don't add to them.

I agree with everything you said, Jason.  Your comments about the activity in the videos and competition sections is correct.

I do think Competitions are vital to this forum, though.  The more competitions we have, the more new members will sign up.  I always see a flood of new members when a new competition begins.  Hopefully some of these members will post in other sections as well after signing up.

Either way, everyone just needs to keep posting in all the forums and things will pick up.  The key to a boost in activity is new threads. 

If you want to help, start a new thread.  It sometimes feels good when you create a thread and it gets 3+ pages of posts.  Give it a try.

P.S starting controversy isn't always a bad thing. This is a somewhat controversial thread, and it's become successful. Lets try to bring this forum back to what it used to be when all sections were active. I've talked to several people that used to post on here all the time. All of them told me how they used to post in the non-freestyle sections all the time. The reason they have quit posting in the them is no one else does currently. Guys, if we just ignore the problem, we'll never be able to solve it. Start posting. If you have a hobby or anything, post a topic to see if anyone else likes it.
