Big game between Croatia and Italy today.  Hope Croatia takes it but it's gonna be tough.

Ireland = 3pts for any team that plays them. They are terrible. Spain looked good, but honestly, I cannot really tell how well they will do based on this game. Big game against Croatia next round. I think they need a win to guarantee 1st position as I cannot see Italy not winning against Ireland.

well.. irish team is a joke, imo they didn't deserve to be in the final round in the first place.. armenia did
they play extremely primitive football, spain won this game without even trying

there is a chance croatia will tie the last match
and then 3 teams will end up with 5 points
doubt the irish will try hard in the last game, very hard to stay motivated
besides trapatoni as an italian, wants italy to go out lol (pretty sure italy will win the last game)

Don't think Croatia can beat Spain but maybe they can get lucky enough to draw them.

And who knows, maybe Italy fails to score against Ireland somehow.

Italy and Spain through... I feel bad for Croatia because even when the game was 0-0 they were out.  I don't like the way the tie breaker rules go for this.  They basically ignore the results against the team that's not in play for the knockout round.  In this case, they ignore the results against Ireland.  When Italy was up 1-0 against Ireland and Croatia was tied 0-0 against Spain, Croatia was still the team getting knocked out.

It's pretty stupid because Italy and Croatia tied Spain at this point and beat Ireland, except Croatia beat Ireland by a margin of 3 goals while Italy only beat them by 1.  They basically ignored that result, and gave Italy the tie breaker over Croatia because Italy scored a goal against Spain while Croatia didn't.  I think if the head to head is a tie, then you should look at all the goals scored in the group and not just the goals between the contending opponents.
