Format of this competition is made similar to Formula One. The same players are playing whole league, are given points for every single competition and at the end of this last 8 are gonna be replaced by another one. Changing players every round will kill the TOUR/LEAGUE system. Me personaly thought the same like you that every round there will be 8 replacements but then I was explained and in spite is could sound unfaire to others it makes sense.
Plus we are considering point system for every single competition which is gonna happen like Prague, RBSS etc to get everyone successful closer to Tour (in case they are let by their parents unlike Skora´s parents)
Here are some words from headquarters:
- Before the tour starts next year - there are no big events that effectively would 'qualify' people to enter. So if no-one has any problems with how good the standard of the top 16 are this year, then it's only fair that they get to experience the whole tour concept first
- 1 year flies by! and for anyone thinking it's closing the door on them - then this is a very short term focus on just themselves. We have to think about the development of the sport as a whole here and the 16 we have selected are perfect ambassadors for that
- To relegate people after each event wouldn't make any sense - no consistency and then the sponsors / TV won't understand and therefore won't support
- On the issue of travel to events to get points etc... if we put everything 'on a plate'for people then there would be no challenge and also it shows a very poor awareness for self responsibility. If you personally know that by traveling to an event in Poland, not only will it be fun, but you will get points you need to push into the top 16 and then benefit from TV coverage, sponsorship etc, then you will find a way to get there...
- This is the first year - we will be learning as we go and all points people make are very welcome and will help make the model right.
So all points are welcome.
