Not a suggestion just something I know is on another forum and is pretty cool imo.  They have an ignore list, so you go into your profile and put whoever you want in it and then you can't see their posts, I'd prob not use it but in theory think its a cool feature.

yeah it could be destructive in some threads where that curtain member is a frequent poster it would make you look stupid and ruin the flow of the thread too

on other forums, i've seen it to where you can mark a post from the poster as being readable.  if the poster is making a genuine contribution to the forum, you will be able to allow yourself to see the post without "un" ignoring him
