Van Persie scored another 2 goals today.  He's scored about 35 goals in his last 30 games.

What a fucking player!!!

So glad to see him on a roll and injury free.  Always thought he was one of the top 3 strikers in the world when fit.

Whoever is losing at half-time wins those games, LOL.  Can't believe it happened twice last year and then again this season.  Don't they learn?

Van Persie is a top 5 player right now.

1. Messi
2. Ronaldo
3. Xavi
4. Van Persie
5. Silva

top 5 player where? in london? Or top 5 at arsenal you mean right?

Maybe RVP is top 5 in the striker category, on current form, but there is no way he top 5 overall. Van persie has improved a lot recently though i admit. I'm still not a big fan of him though :098:

Who would you put in your top 5?  Van Persie is one of the best right now.  He does it all... score, assist, link up the play, score the big goals, unselfish, and can create something when least expected.

On current form I would have messi, c.ronaldo, xavi, iniesta, silva, cesc, lavezzi and cavani all ahead of RVP.

If you put cavani or lavezzi as striker for arsenal they would do very well too, probably better. Van Persie has great stats now but when i watch him i do not see any incredible pass vision or ability to do anything spectacular. He has been effective but he is not the most exciting player.

He reminds me of pippo inzaghi in his prime. Effective but nothing spectacular

Man, you need to watch more or learn some stuff about the game.  Inzaghi is nothing like Van Persie.  You're probably too young to remember Van Persie but that's more of a comparison.  Heck, Del Pierro in his prime could be another comparison.

Van Persie is well ahead of Lavezzi and Cavani.  While I do like those players, you don't see Barca coming after them, do you?  There's a reason for that... class.

van persie scores mostly poacher type goals just like inzaghi. Also his assists are nothing special either, just like inzaghi. RVP though has more strength and ball retention skill.

A better comparison would be with gilardinho or mario gomez. Effective players but nothing spectacular.

Btw your comparison with del piero is total madness! Del piero scored amazing goals from all angles and out of nothing in his prime. Also, he had sick passing vision and dribbling skill.

Van persie's assists are never clever through balls. Van persie assists are always short little passes in to feet or hopeful crosses from the wing. And his dribbling skill is non-existant.

Yes barca would love to have cavani and lavezzi, i guarantee you that.

Strangely, I kinda miss Kingnut in these discussion lol  He always had some crazy shit to say. His top 5 would probably have xavi, busquets, van der vaart etc haha.
