YouTube partner programme
« on: Jul 02, 2011, 10:38: AM »
How many freestylers are partners now? I know I am (lol), Palle and Sean are. Anyone else?

I was thinking more freestyle channels could become partners (if you're interested), I have seen a lot of partners getting like 500 views a video and compared to most freestyle videos thats nothing. I think it's mainly down to uploading frequently, and with all the internet comps then maybe some people should apply.

Sven was talking about it in a video I think. It was something about him having a strike or something and therefore couldn't go into the partner program.

Yes, exactly, on my old channel that was. Besides, it is not possible in Luxembourg. But after summer break, when I'm in Germany again, I will try it another time. :)

It's so hard to be a partner because all content has to be 100% yours. I got offered it but couldn't do it :(

All of my content isn't 100 percent mine, you select which videos you want to enable revenue sharing on.

I didn't know that. What kind of would penalties would you get for enabling a video that wasn't all yours?

-Don't break combos.
-Don't use crossovers to save combos.
-If you're a new freestyler looking to improve, check the stickys in the help and advice section.
-Send me a personal message if you see spam.

When you become a partner you can go through all the videos you've uploaded and enable revenue sharing, if you leave them then you'er fine. If you upload a video with copyrighted music and don't enable it then nothing happens. If you upload a video with copyright and enable it for revenue sharing then it gets taken down and you will most likely have your account closed.

What I'm confused about is whether all of the content has to be made by oneself, or if you are allowed to use songs that won't get ur video muted. If u see what I mean.

not sure, now there is this creative commons copyright thing and I think that you could do stuff like that if its submitted under that rule. Not entirely sure though.
