@patrick it is  because you look like you're 9 years old (Y)
Hmmm maybe, but when i started busking in a city, just outside belfast, i used to make over 200 in 2 hours. Basically, if people havent seen it before, your relatively decent at fs, its a busy enough area, and you have loud music, you will do very well

Is loud music very important Jamie?

Ok in level of importance it goes...
1) Whether or not its busy
2)Loud Music
3)If people have seen it before in public  or not.
4) If your ok at Freestyle or better

Obviously if your not able to do the basic sit-down tricks or uppers etc, this will effect how much money you make, but aslong as your at a decent level people will be impressed and therefore give you money.

I make a living from busking from freestyle, i live in brisbane australia.

I busk in the mall, which isn't even really a mall, it's just a large collection of shops in the CBD all in one place. anywhere where there is lots of people will generally work for busking. I busk when most business people(during the week) are on their lunch breaks, but also after school and after their work.

I also go to the clubbing district on a friday/saturday night. lots of music, drunk people, and freestyle football is a guaranteed combination for money.
on weekends during the day, I also go to the mall, because lots of people are shopping with their families and people have time to stop and watch some kid with a football. on some days I get crowds around me of over 100 people, and this is just small time performing in the street.

beware of busking in foreign countries without a permit, in some places it's illegal and you can be fined hundreds of dollars, such as my city. fortunately, I have a liscence, so I don't have that problem  :Woot_Emoticon:

nah man I don't have any videos up, I used to love making videos, but nowadays I freestyle more for myself than for video.

my only advice is, don't ever be nervous when busking. You may be standing in the street with a soccer ball, but can anybody else watching you do what you can? no. so go rip shit up!
alternate between upper lower and sit, and also do basic tricks that lots of people think is cool, even if you know it's easy.

work the crowd, eventually you'll figure out what works best for drawing attention to yourself, how to make people laugh, wow or scream.

keep at it man, you'll make moneys in no time ;)

oh, not to brag, but in an hour on a Friday night in the mall I made $140, which is almost $150 US.

How are you doing your busking? Are you doing like 3-4 minutes shows or are you doing it continiously without stopping?

YEah i've been wondering about that too:Could a successful busker give liek an overview of how he busks, i.e. how he gets the money, music, performance, time, stuff like that, would be very helpful:)
