Is freestyle fun?
« on: May 09, 2011, 04:47: AM »
Yes, I know freestyle can be about competitions and people can use fun as an excuse not to train as hard and all that. Let's put all that aside for now.

I was just wondering if you feel that freestyle is fun?

-Don't break combos.
-Don't use crossovers to save combos.
-If you're a new freestyler looking to improve, check the stickys in the help and advice section.

after 4,5 years of being in the business, I must say that sometimes it has no fun in it. It gave me way more fun in the first year. But still, there are times when it's really entertaining, waiting for this moments keeps me in this

i only train when i feel like to, but not managing to do a trick gets frustrating after a while.
i also have only one freestyler in my area, and i meet him very rarely, but everytime i look so much forward to meeting him, and last time it was so fun and i was so motivated that i pulled of almost all good tricks/combos i ever managed, like beck htatw, ltatw, atw ahtatw combo, tatw htatw amatw, tatw taatw nt combo and even my first tatw matw nt...

i might not be very good, but i can't imagine having fun training two hours or more every day.

Right now, for me, since I got fucking much problems with my knees flexability. Am I feeling no fun anymore to try for lowers, but even though, I can train uppers and sitdowns, and that! I must say is really fun! right now! :D But ofc, I hope I can train up my lowers anyhow but it'll be hard
but as everyone is saying "Never Give Up"
Never Give Up!

fun isn't a word i would ever use to describe freestyle, so no in answer to your question no freestyle is not fun (for me).

but...i can't think of anything more satisfying/rewarding than freestyle. When you land a trick/combo you've been training for its undescribable. anybody who has reached one of the milestones in fs will know what im talking about (your first proper nt, your first patw etc).

So when i compare the amount of training time vs the amount of satisfaction, is it worth it? YES YES YES

i have the same years in freestyle ass blazej and i´ve been in situations were my level picks up and then something happens or my interest isn't the same but from all those years i  know that freestyle for me is beyond a sport and is beyond of having fun do in it, is the only thing that make´s me relax and realise  stress, and I will keep on freestyling in till the day I´l die,  and the good part is that im taking my lowers to the next level.

if fun = achieving goals. then yes it is.
The nitrophosphate process (also known as the Odda process) was a method for the industrial production of nitrogen fertilizers invented by Erling Johnson in the city of Odda, Norway around 1927.
