now that bin laden's gone, Obama better pull his troops coz that was the mission, so now it's accomplished. Unless the US wants to help rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan after they destroyed them like they promised they would, they should gtfo.
It became more than Bin Laden through the years. Iraq is in rebuilding mode right now and US is not needed as they were before. I still think the US should have some role there, however. Not sure if you remember what happened before in Afghanistan. We went in an stopped the fighting, but then we left too early and nothing came of it. We should've stayed and helped with education system, etc. Instead we left as you request, and terrorist starting popping up. It's a fine line. Nobody wants to be bothered and nobody wants the US to run their country, but the fight against terrorism is far from over. I think the US still needs to stay there but with less man power and a more strategoci approach towards terrorism, while also trying to stabilize the education and political system so the region can benefit from all this.
People can hate all they want on the US and other western countries, but at the end of the day, we got the best infrastructure out of anyone in the world. Everyone has the oppportunity to be educated and successful, while not being constrained regarding religious beliefs.
