Reputation System - Did you know...
« on: Apr 28, 2011, 04:23: AM »
Did you know that you can give reputation and view the reputation others leave you?

To give or remove reputation, click the 'heart' image under the users avatar on the left.  It looks like this: .  You can select if you like or dislike the post.  This will add more reputation bars () to the member's account.

The amount of points the members receives depends on the giver's reputation.  If you have a high reputation, your 'like' will count as more than someone with less rep.

You also build up your reputation by making posts and creating new threads.  If you create a new thread, you receive more points than making a simple posts.

You can view the reputation (with comments) that you have given and received under your Profile.  Click the 'profile' button at the top, then click on 'View Reputation' on the left side.

Have fun!

Ugh, not sure about this.  I think it may have something to do with our previous Karma.  I will take a look at this and get back to you.

OK, I figured this out... you need to divide your profile reputation by 50 for your Reputation Power.  That's just how I have it setup.  Rather have smaller numbers that are easier to go by.  Yours is 294/50=5.88.

You power up (5 in your case, 84 in mine) for every 50 points you earn through posts, new threads, etc.

no need for that language big boy.

Answer: the fact that you use 'fuck' in your post proves that reputation is a big deal for you :)

More people care about it than you think. You should have seen the attention karma system got before.

ook sorry for the language , but i don`t understand the importantion of reputation on a forum... the reputation on a freestyle football forum should be based on skill.

I don't think it has any merit behind it. It's kinda like commenting 'first' on videos.
