hatw and htw help
« on: Apr 06, 2011, 07:34: AM »
Hey! I would like to have some tips how to train hatw and htw with weak and right.
I think also that it isn't only me who is having such a problems with those long combos.
So any tips? or just to hardcore practise until I got it? ;)

For atw/hatws train:
Hatw-tatw
Tatw-hatw
Htw-htatw
Train all combos starting both weak and strong.
At the end of every practice always try to beat your atw/hatw/htw records.
- this is part of lehas training advice, ask him and he will go way more in depth.
See lehas tutorial for htws

lol what a load of rubbish, if u want to get good at hatw's and htw's then train hatw's and htw's (Y) it's tedious bit i promise u that u will see results.

for htw's i really recommend you hop rather than go for the russian technique which looks shit.
once u reach like a record of 10 hatw's and 20 or so htw's and u can consistently do both of them there is REALLY no point training them anymore, just train long combos.

u don't even wanna know what my records are for hatw/atw!

ethan.. what is your hatw, atw and htw records..?

i've done 20 htw though I can't do 20 each try, 28 atws and 8 hatws and I'm no were near your level in lowers. I can hardly do amatw weak foot or tatw weak foot, it's annoying as hell. probably because i find it boring to practise them :(

Anyway something I used to get better htws was to do a htw motion several times with one foot like -

Htw - inside atw but as a htw motion I did this with both feet and now I can do 5 just popping the ball up with only my weak foot.
I felt this improved stamina and concistency.

I also just simply tried to improve my record every practise first set it at 8 - 10 - 13 - 15 - 18 - 20 and so on.

for hatws i don't really know anything that will help other than practising them.
and for htws maybe this isn't the correct way to go, this is just what I found helped me.

Calle, don't even learn hatw and htw - useless.

-Don't break combos.
-Don't use crossovers to save combos.
-If you're a new freestyler looking to improve, check the stickys in the help and advice section.

Ethan, I know that you trained hatws and htws hardly, but not hard enough to train others :DD

To learn to succeed, you must first learn to fail.
It's what you do that counts, but it's how you do it which separates you from the rest.
You can't have creativity unless you leave behind the bounded, the fixed, all the rules.

really disagree with you here. training hatw and htw to high records is essential vor long combos. you cannot achieve long combos without high records in these tricks. it also improves your stamina which is also very important.
