Football Cliches and Stereotypes

I hear these statements from commentators, journalists, fans and even players and managers. Some of them are true, some less than true and some are just plain stupid. Like:
- "Germans never miss penalties"...........ummm yes they do
- "Italian football is defensive minded and boring".......kinda true i guess , but napoli and roma attack a lot
- "Cristiano Ronaldo is a diver".............ok this is 100% true but still he is not the only one
- "Bend it like Beckham"........yeh he is good....at ummm.....curling freekicks

  hmmmm.....i thought it was the fans who were violent. But I know south americans defenders tend to tackle very hard They will get the ball but also be sure to bruise the attacker. I think it is called no-nonsense defending

Also, I forgot "a strikers tackle" stereotype. This is kinda true but not all strikers tackle bad. Rooney and Raul are good tacklers. But not many more

And yeh Adi Germans are good at penalties and the stats back it up, but they do miss. I saw Ballack sky one over the bar for Chelsea Also, why do you seem to like Germans so much? I thought you are Bosnian.

Bosnia first, Germany second.  I lived there when I was younger so I learned to like them.
