actually i saw him go past players at least 3 times against spurs. He had 3 shots on goal before the goal and for all those opportunities he had to create the space himself before shooting.
Xavi can play 40 yard passes. Nice....but ronnie scores 40 yard freekicks :040: sometimes even 40 yard goals from open play like against porto. Many average players play accurate long passes like gerrard, rooney, alonso etc. Xavi is not average though.....but if you give xavi some average attacking teammates to pass to and his effectiveness drops considerably. Ronnie doesn't need any skillful player to pass to or get passes from.
My point is xavi makes big plays, but ronnie makes big plays and scores a cargoload of goals too....even when getting shitty passes from teammates. I'm sure ronnie will be remembered more than xavi at the end of the day because of this effectiveness.
forget Ronaldinho....only one deserves the -inho suffix......Jabarinho!!!!

I'll bet you £10000000000 that Xavi will be remebered in the game as one of the greatest midfielders of the last 50 years. Only idiots like you think Ronaldo is better than Xavi and will remember him in a more favourable light. :sign0104:

haha ok :043: I just think that if u look at it objectively ronnie has more to offer individually. U must be one of those barca bandwagon jumpers who love barca only after they started winning recently. Because i remember xavi playing in that shitty barca team with kluivert and saviola etc and he could do nothing to stop barca's decline back then. They were lounging in the europa league back then. Ronnnie would have pulled them out into the higher reaches all by himself.

Oooooo, don't go there jabba. I watched Barcas before Xavi when they had Guardiola playing and gaffing it for them. Back then Xavi was still brilliant, just didn't get the coverage because Barca werent doing as well. How about Ronaldo in the early days at Man U? Couldn't get in the team half the time and was part of a squad that was their worst in a long time!

You're a helm...a top class helm.

 :017: I don't know what's a helm but i will take it as a compliment since i see top class......top class sounds good :098:
If ronnie got more chances in his early days manutd would have been more successful back then. He was miles better than the old men they had in the team ahead of him.
Also, xavi has been lucky not to have his barca teammates getting long injury spells. If Messi goes down injured next year you will see barca struggling to qualify for the europa league. Do they still have Intertoto cup? You will see xavi playing 40 yard passes and switching play in the Intertoto cup :cheesy:
Meanwhile ronnie will be busy banging in the goals and turning defenders inside out in champ lgue.
I guarantee if you replace xavi with any other decent player like alonso, modric, scholes or even young thiago alcantara barca will be just as successful.

none of them have as good an eye for passing as xavi
he dribbles better than them, and knows where to go. He makes many unexpected passes. The teammates run into positions because they know xavi can pass accurately. And this happens frequently.
he doesn't crumble under pressure. alonso in real madrid is like a useless ghost, modric is boring and clearly not as good at passing as xavi, scholes is too old and doesn't perform as well as he used to, and thiago is not as experienced as any of them.
without messi, barca won't play as well.
without xavi, barca won't play as well.

ok yeh i get your point royal. Xavi is better than those names i called b4. But he is not a lot better than them. And i definitely don't agree with alonso being useless or modric being boring  I still think Xavi is replaceable at barca and spain. Messi and Ronnie are the only 2 players atm who cannot be replaced.

Helmet...pure helmet. Ronaldo had loads of chances in the early days, he was just average. Barca without Messi in Intertoto??? Hahahaha, youre joking right. Messi is the best player in the world, granted, but they would still be top class.

Royal freakiness...do not call Modric boring. He is a baller. One of the best midfielders in the world.

tottenham played well in the second leg and should have scored but their finishing was so poor. All three penalty claims were dubious so nothing there. Ref needs to be 100 percent sure to give those.
Van der vaart showed why madrid let him go.....horrible player!! Clever touches at times but overall very poor.
And what up with ronnie's hairstyle? :043: Is that some sort of comb-over? Looks good on girls but not CR7 :embarrassed:

Last year i kept saying madrid will win something this year if they sold raul and van der vaart. Well so far madrid have not won anything but they are doing much better than last year. Van der vaart is average......on a good day :040:
Managers love him though because he is a very hard-working player......but he has no attacking flair. I think he would be better in a deeper position.......or on the bench :great:
