Just watch some tests on youtube (I already did and IMO it's quite okey). Check if the video file format suits the supported file formats of ur editing program. In case of this camera it's AVI I think which is perfect for e.g.: Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.

I'm not really into editing and stuff but if I bought a cam these would be the main things I'd check.

You can always convert the video file format if the software refuses to accept it.
I'm on the look out for a new camera too, there's another thread that shows the Kodak PlaySport, it's 1080p and sturdy, costs like £120, have a look at it on amazon

Not damaging the quality? I doubt it.

Gotta make sacrifices, unless your really after a pro looking video.
As long as the video quality isnt too badly degraded, people will concentrate on the fs  :great:

The Kodak i bought was faulty, now i dont want another one, so im on the look out again.
