How to practise hard and avoid muscel sore.
« on: Nov 12, 2010, 05:19: AM »
Hey mates,

i wanted to ask how you can avoid muscle ache and hip problems but practise hard at the same time. this question mainly goes to the fast lower improvers like ARS MP Mirko Oli and so on, but also to those who have knowledge about this issue.

I saw MP stretch a lot but i would like to know which specific stretchings help for hardcore lowers.

probably i don´t have as much knowledge as many others here, but for a long time i had bad pains in my leg and thought i wouldn´t be able to freestyle anymore
and know i stretch my muscles before every training session, the pains are over and practicing is way easier
also, i think some pauses during the training session might help

speziell auf deutsch an dich:
mir helfen sachen wie lange auf der stelle laufen und dabei halt immer schneller werden
zudem noch die üblichen dehnungsübungen, sie haben mir so viel geholfen...

Yeah, now that everybody saw MP stretching in Prague before he started to FS, freestylers are realizing that it maybe isn't such a bad idea, lol.

No wonder there are so many freestylers with chronic pain/injuries, when most of them aren't doing anything even remotely similar to warming up or stretching after training and are exposing their bodies to hard training for a long period of time.

Long story short: warm up & stretch (mostly dynamic with some static stretches) before training and stretch (static) after it. When you have an injury, TREAT IT, don't be a smartass and try to work through it. Also, myofascial release is a great way to remove already existing scar tissue and work on tight muscles.

To what Miran said:

I've starting stretching out a bit before I start freestyling, and I can train much longer than before.
I had a pretty crazy back pain before Stockholm battle camp meet, and I treated it for like 10 days and nothing happened. When I then got to Stockholm with all the guys at the battle camp, I just started fs'ing despite my back was fucked, and it "cured" the pain, and I haven't felt anything from my back since. So some injuries you can train through ;)

Agreed..
^ But weed does in no way mess up your coordination unless you're actually doing it and freestyling at the same time.

If you want to be good, ofcourse it's important to stretch and warm up.. ask any pro athlete. It makes quite a big difference in the long run.

I never stretch my legs before freestyle lol... my warm up is made with long combos with simple tricks (atw, htw, hatw ecc) and then some combos with 4-5 nt or various combos with other tricks like latw, ahmatw, rsatw... all in 15-20 minutes... after that i can try every hard combos. the strange thing is that i dont have developed muscles in my legs...  :sign0065:

1. viel Dehnen

Your legs aren't big because you're an ectomorph. ;)
