he cannot play ahead of marcelo because marcelo is the best left back in the world, as i said before. Not only has marcelo improved defensively but he also is the most skillful defender i have ever seen. Even Uefa recognised him in the champ league team of the season as best left back. So he blows every1 away on current form and overall skill level.

I know some guys disagree but lahm, evra etc cannot be mentioned in the same sentence as marcelo

Also there is no space for coentrao on the left wing because we all know who currently plays in that position......the great king ronnie ofc

lol @ sanchez diving good technique on the dive but his play-acting is not up to barca standards yet. He needs to stay down longer and hold his ankle in one hand while holding an imaginary yellow card in the other hand then wait fotr the stretcher with a huge grimace on his face .....but he will learn. Good player but i question how necessary it is They just spent 20 mil pound on henderson, and already have very good midfielders such as poulsen, lucas, gerrard, shelvey, spearing and meireles. But i guess the 7-9 mil pound fee was too reasonable to pass up

In any case liverpool look good for next season, especially if they can get one of the left wingers they are linked with i.e mata or downing. They also need a left back possibly.

You are an absolute idiot when you speak like that.  No manager in the world would take Marcelo over Evra, Lahm, Maicon and a few others.  What's wrong with you?  The fullback position requires more than just running and attacking.  He lacks the positioning, tackling, and general defensive effectiveness.  He has improved a lot last season and is a solid full back but there is a reason Conetrao was bought.

If you want, I'll bet you, $20, 30, or even $100 that Marcelon will lose his spot.  Marcelo will probably end up being a rotation player  for left back and left mid.  If anything, Marcelo will split time with Coentrao.

I think Gerrard's injury is a lot more problematic than it seems.  Don't be surprised if Gerrard is on the touch lines for most of the season.  Shelvey and Spearing are debth players at best.  Lucas is shit and Poulson is a backup. Charlie Adam will runs things for Liverpool.

well i would not bet against you that marcelo might lose his spot because i know how mourinho is. But it is certainly not justified. Marcelo has proven himself this year at madrid and has not put a foot wrong. Some new portugese kid on the block should not just come in and take his place after marcelo had such a fabulous year.

And marcelo positioning and tackling has improved greatly. He made one positioning mistake vs pedro in el clasico but other than that he has been perfect so i dont know what u are talking about there

I remember mourinho at chelsea with ashley cole and wayne bridge (2 very good left backs) were rotated by mourinho, so that is how mourinho wants it. I understand why cause marcelo does so much work, both attacking and defending that he cannot play every game. Its tiring being the best LB in the world u know hehe

If arsenal can stay relatively injury free this year they can win something. Arsenal play such sexy football. Orgasmic football at times but injuries mess up their flow.

Also they need some central defenders. Koscielny, squillaci and djourou have shown themselves to be not good enough. Vermalean is good though so that is a start.
