how much air?
« on: Oct 16, 2010, 01:17: PM »
well this question has been asked here several times - still i would like to clarify a few things
cuz i am originally from russia - the thing is, fsers there practice with balls 99-100% full of air (that's how i do myself), that's pretty hard ball
and people who practice with balls with less air are considered cheaters in russia - that's the way it is
so i m just wonderin what's your opinion about that
how do you pump your ball?
if you were to some big meets, then how people like palle, rocco and other big shots in fs have their ball - how much air?

peace and no hating plz

haha I'm no big shot fser so my opinion doesnt really matter but I pump up my ball kinda soft. It makes freestyling a lot easier for me with a soft ball

Why is having less air considered cheating? If anything, having more air causes the ball to pop up with less energy compared to a ball with less air. Saving energy sounds more like cheating, doesn't it?
I like to use a ball with 8/9 - 9/10 full, depending on the type of ball though.

i pump up my ball as hard as possible, which makes juggling, atws, head rolls etc. easier for me, even though juggling hurts a lil bit (when it´s cold)

Yeah Footwork team, ARS, MP, Dan, Macca and others have their ball really soft but I pump it as hard as it goes because it pops up easier and you don't have to use more energy.

I used to want it soft then my style changed and it felt alot easier lifting the ball when it was pumped up hard.

never met a russian using a soft ball, so you had just misspelled something, the other ones are true tho
polish freestylers in general use REALLY soft balls, but i cant freestyle with a ball like that, i barely feel the ball when it's pumped like that, the only thing that is good to do with the soft ball are multiple htws, i can't do any other good things with that
so yeah, im using a hard one

i find it very hard to control a really soft ball. i find when its pumped up hard there is much more grip for atw's and hatw's and also nicer for nt.

szymo uses the most ridiculously soft ball ever, feels almost as if it has a hole in it and ALL the air has escaped
