Beck atw tutorial
« on: Oct 13, 2010, 07:51: AM »
Had nothing to do, then... Sorry for bad English, but still want to represent to you clearly russian tutorial of Beck Atw, to be exact, translation of russian, which was made by me :)
I've started to learn it by weak foot firstly, so I can describe you all aspects of that trick. What do we need to be successful at learning of that trick? All answers are lower.
Beck atws is counted as hatw timo nt, but it has almost nothing to do with timo nt. So, we dont need to be able to do tatw timo nt to perform beck and otherwise.
   What we do need:
   1. We should get good atws, not many atws, but control and smooth with them. Be sure, that your atws are perfect for beck, when you will be able to do a magellan after each of your next atw. Then train some combos like 2atw 2htw 2atw magellan 2htw. Always you must continue it after magellan to be confident you do it properly and with total control.
   2. We should be able to perform timo after any htw. Then train some combos like 2atw 2htw timo htw any combo timo combo. Its enough to perform 2 timos with some consistence in 1 combo to be able to do beck atw.
   3. Should learn tatw matw nt. For what? To be able to do fast motion and straight upcoming ball after touch of it.

Now beck atw technically:
   1. Hatw part. You should do a motion like  you used to do in magellan. Ofc, its your own choice, u can perform it slowly, but Im fan of fast hardcore freestyle :)Now the main, after touching the ball (1st leg will name it), it should go or in front of your 1st leg or some left(if beck atw right)/right(if beck atw left).
   2. 2nd leg's motion. You should start that motion almost immediately after your 1st leg lose contact with the ball, after 1/2 your 1st leg motion is done. Then, remember, you dont need to perform 3/4 of motion by 2nd leg, dont hurry up, you should do motion easier and only 1/2 of revolution, after that your 1st leg will up by itself. It sounds strange, but it is.
   3. Tatw part. Here you dont need to hurry up too. But you should remember that ball is already spinned. To make a better contact with ball you should do 2 things: 1) strain your big toe and make it up for a bit, 2) make a contact with the ball a bit earlier than u used to do performing simply tatw: if you do beck right, make a contact starting right part of the ball to have more time contacting it (for left beck, left part).

Thats all, I think. Get better, guys, choice harder aims :)

To learn to succeed, you must first learn to fail.
It's what you do that counts, but it's how you do it which separates you from the rest.
You can't have creativity unless you leave behind the bounded, the fixed, all the rules.
