HOW to practice Sole juggles?
« on: Oct 07, 2010, 06:55: PM »
I realize there already is a topic about this, but it doesn't cover HOW people practiced sole juggles, but rather which one to practice first, sole stall or juggles. So my question is how to practice sole juggles? For example, do you throw the ball up to your feet and then practice catching it there and juggle? Or do you take the ball up with your feet and then practice? Get a friend to help out?

Thanks

Personally. i learnt sole stall first. Then i started practising sole juggles as i was familliar with using my sole. I then started sole juggles with one foot, after i got familliar doing them with one foot i started slowly using both soles. When i started doing sole juggles i held the ball with both my feet and then put the ball on my sole and then started juggling. After a while i could just throw it up and then start sole juggling.
Hope This Helps :)

I can't do them very well, but I think you should use your feet to throw the ball up so you don't waste time learning it from your hand and then from your feet again. Also, I think it's easier to judge the distance with a throw from your foot apposed to a throw from your hand.

Sole juggles are one of the most tedious things to learn, go sit in a closed room because the ball is gonna go everywhere at first, hit the ball with the front part of the sole, you have to stay consistant on practicing, i agree with LIS throw it up with your feet other wise its just another step trying to learn that later, personally i learned sole stall first, but sole juggling is probably better to learn first so you get more familiar with it in both feet
just stay consistant on practicing, spend 20 straight minutes a day on it, and in about a week or 2 youll be able to sole juggle for a decent amount of time :D
BONER!

I have been throwing the ball up to my feet and tried to juggle as much as I can. Been doing this for about 10 mins each day for about 4 days now...and my records only 5  :embarrassed:  anyways thanks for the help, I'll start practicing it by getting the ball up with my feet, maybe that'll help  :c017:

another question; as im practing, i have my head slightly off the ground, but after a short amount of time my neck starts to ache & i have to end up resting for a good 10 secs at least. Is this normal? If it is, then how should i improve on how you can withstand more, or will that just come when you do more & more? Thanks

Ofc it aches, it's natural. Just have ur 10 sec-long rest when you feel the pain or instead of just simply lying on the floor you could do some neck exercises which obviously help you relieve the pain or better yet, will prevent pain.

Sometimes I'm juggling only with my left foot which looks damn ugly but IMO it's useful...

Don't! More will come soon, just practise! ;)
