Who inspired you to freestyle?
« on: Sep 29, 2010, 09:10: AM »
I've always wondered who's inspired who to freestyle

personally alot of people have (for me), the first real fs video i saw was of mickyD, coming from only watching wingrove/lynch videos i was positive his shit was fake at first :p

but the people who have inspired me most are.
Turlakov
Luki
Olly B.
those are the main people,

who's inspired you to fs?

well, i started to freestyle because i was playing football with friends when one guy did the neck stall, which is why i started freestyle
when i started freestyle, i DIDN`T EVER THINK the freestyle community is so big and i have never heard of special freestyle sites, freestyle meetings, freestyle championchips or even names for tricks like tatw etc.

the first freestyler who inspired me was szymo, i couldn“t believe how fast his ptatw was

To learn to succeed, you must first learn to fail.
It's what you do that counts, but it's how you do it which separates you from the rest.
You can't have creativity unless you leave behind the bounded, the fixed, all the rules.

Yeah, MickyD was one of the first "real" freestyle vids I saw.  Before that, it was Joga Bonito vids, followed by the Touzani video, which ruined me for good.  Then, those crazy Japanese fuckers like Tatsulow and Yo.  I was like, "Shit, I can do that."

Boy was I wrong.

Ronaldinho is the one who introduced me to basic freestyle tricks.
Then, I found Touzani and Palle, and haven't look back since.

i was inspired to learn street tricks and moves coz of watching joga bonito. billy wingrove, ronaldinho, henry etc...
first actual fs video i saw was of touzani in 2006. that inspired me to learn 10 juggles and 1 atw
a few months later, i saw rinus netten, mr woo, kamalio, ssyed, kamal, and some others on that old expert football site
i started to practice 50 kickups and was a little more consistent with 1 atw. i wasn't a freestyler yet because i thought those were just football tricks that can help me improve ball control.
a few months after that i found out about youtube which led me to search on freestyle football. I then found these fsers: skora, palle, fx, szymo, lindroth, tobias sjodin, murilo, yosuke, linder, JF, tatsulow and a few others.... i watched their fs videos on the net for hours and hours. i thought, wtf!? i wanted to be like these guys. that's when i became serious about fs. march/april 2007  :sign0066:
