European Championship 2010 - players advices
« on: Sep 05, 2010, 07:35: AM »
Hey all of you guys who were in Prague this August!!!
Once again I wanna thank you for making this event so big. I really enjoyed everything with you and do my best to make you feel comfortable.
Which is exactly I wanna do next year again.
Because this tournament was so great and lot of people went crazy after that we were given permission to make it bigger and better next year! So World Championship 2011 in Prague is sure right now!!!
And because I want to make it better for you, players, some recommendation like "What annoys you the most" or "What wasnt as you imagine" this year in Prague would help me to pimp that more!
So far I know about these:

Lack of space on stage
Early waking up
Shitty stage
Weather

So if you know about anything you dislike please write it down here cause regarding to your advices you will feel much better next August in Prague;)

Date and place released soon but count with date around 8. - 16. autust 2011.

Things almost sure right now:
Our Champ is gonna be played together with World Championship in Freestyle Frisbee.
Still searching for a place to play but seems to be huge athletic and football area of Slavia Prague
Accomodation on the same place in Hostel Sokol
Tournament will take for whole week for saving a time and not to have stressed timetable
Everyone who want to come over has to let it know one month before action. Otherwise no accomodation guarantee!

So guys thank you for reading this and I would be really grateful for your responses.

Once again amazing job!
I will DEFINETALY be there again in 2011!
for me a few things could be better...

circular stage/area (battle should be in a circle it didnt really feel like battles if you know what i mean)
more space on stage/area
more free time, less stressed timetable (you already mentioned this)
wake up a bit later if possible
maybe qualifiers to the final can get some food expenses or accomodation costs as in pryczczye?
weather (hard to control) i think its better to have outdoor competition
judges - i think it should be ONLY freestyle footballers (no disrespect to Honza and Dan Wood)
hand rule - Hands should be allowed and judges can deduct points if they are used to recover a trick

just my suggestions but its fucking awesome anyway!
amazing job lucaso ur a legend!
peace

Yeah Dan, early waking up and no stress we are gonna avoid by making it for whole week = more free time, more time for qualifications, no early waking up...
In that area there is huge gym for rainy days
About judges I wanna make some really legendary again but it is really hard with last and this year ones:-D
With that hand rule I still wanna stay tuned on a way with strict no hand rules in Battle... cause then we are gonna stay in the same water as Red Bull with rules...
And about some money expenses for players: We have already been given some great contacts for sponzorship and I am sure that with cooperation with Daniel Wood and other FF brands we are gonna sort it out somehow... but still depends on how my position in fight against production site will be strong :040: Will try my best in that...

Thank you for your words, I am gonna write it down... :great:

Hey lucaso can't believe that the planning for the next competition has already begun. Epic work bro! The things that 'annoyed' me about the competition would be the stage. We all had to climb up there from the front which looked bad/did'nt feel right.

An entrance from the back ( ;) lol ) would be much better and maybe some sort of holding area where the freestylers can prepare away from the crowd and everyone else a few moments before their battle would be dope. The stage wasn't great, lack or space and strange surface, freestyling on carpet isnt that great but its understandable a lot of stages are like that. Everything else has been mentioned, great work lucaso we all love you man. :c017:

just 1 advice ....dont make the mistake other people have made before : dont try to grow to big .

That will always takes some of the vibe away ....be careful with trying to overdue this year.  It was perfect in my opinion.

Its about the freestyle spirit ....fuck the rest ..those are details

it was awesome, eventhough i didnt even compete and have no right to speak about it i love the no-hands rule. next to that i would be ok if it was like this anytime, had some trouble checking in but that was solved quite fast as well so for me it was just awesome  :Woot_Emoticon:

One thing Lucaso.

Registration Rules should be looked on a bit.

I really sucked that i had to live in another hostel for two nights even though I had registered several months ago, while others who hadnt even registered had a bed at Hostel Sokol. I mean, it kinda took me away from the social part (which is 85% of me, lol), in the beginning - and still don't fully understand why I (who registered early, and came thursday) didn't get a bed.

As I already said some didnt register and got a bed - and some of them EVEN CAME FRIDAY :O

you know what im sayin? (;
