then when finally a competition, with clear rules, good judges(exactly what everybody here has been begging about),  is made ppl start hating on that one too and says that you should be allowed to use your hands and complaining even more on the judges...
(in routine part you could use your hands so there was a competition for that aswell)

Gustav its not the hands, i used my hands twice against skora, and also against Zegan and they didnt use hands not even once, but i still won...
so its obviously not that

it wasnt like mychryc or whatever is his name, tried to copy andreas-style.and hands were not used to save from dropping.luki for example  in the final used his hands as well,even to save himself from dropping the ball...and still he won-which was right imo (and there are other examples as i just read by dan)
in this battle here,hands had almost no influence,so i dont understand palle.maybe if oli did the better tricks,than ok,he should go on,but saying hands decided the battle,thats not even fair towards oli,who did some nice stuff here...
i think flow and style should be more important than using hands-which were better performed by mchryc imo

I like the fact that they had a CLEAR rule about this part of the competition. But i didn't like the fact that they "took" points from you when you use hands, its better if they just ignore the hand moves, even if they are really cool.

If the rule was that they would just ignore the hand moves, then i would vote for Michryc, but if the case was like you said Gustav, then Oli is the winner.

But as i said, its still not good that the styler get minus points for using hands, much better if the judges just ignore those tricks. Cause, how do you make the decision how much points the freestyler should loose?

Anyway, this competition looked sick, and big up for the organizers!

i dont see any hate or complaining about the judges.
most people here just found michryc better, though he didnt win. no big deal in this case. i think its here to discuss.
i know its hard to judge on this level, since you have just the subjective impression and only some seconds to decide. and the impressions can differ a lot from seeing it live and watching it in a video maybe more than once, so its clear that there will always be different opinions.
anyway the hand shouldnt be a reason  for the decision here imo. would be ridiculous. since he only did one very little hand "trick", which meant nothing.
and from what ive seen till now, it looks for the freestyle skills like the best comp ever.

You're talking about Michryc's overuse of hands.
Then try to persuade me that Oli's drops look better than Michal's usage of hands!
If the rules say that the judges take minus points for touching the ball with a player's hands, then don't they take care of drops?

In fact, even if we count hand touches and drops of both players of this battle, we can see that Oli fails here.
What's more, I think that Michryc was better at every style. Oli's patw and sick nt combos seem to be hard to beat, but Michryc actually did it.

Palle's justification is thoroughly ridiculous, I think he just wanted to pick Oli and maybe liked his LP more.
Let's be honest, this decision is not fair at all, looks like the judges sold him down the river.

Gustav, clear rules seem to be rather an useful solution to make the judgements fair but it clearly failed in Prague.

And fuck, Michryc doesn't have the 'french' style and shouldn't have been discredited.

I don't care whether it's Palle, JK, Daniel judging. It has nothing to do with respect, because I admire them all as freestylers, as they inspire me to practise freestyle. It's about being fair, not respecting wrong decision

omg guys, judges had 2 days of judging and you can't accept one their mistake..  It's easy to say who won after viewing video 10 or more times, but it's not easy to pick winner who deserve it immediately after battle where both of freestylers did great..
