yea iv just restarted and it is wierd. It took me like 5 mins to nail an atw outside atw crossover etc. So yea i gained my skill back quite quickly and i find it easier to freestyle in places that are more open spaced... I think this is because you can have more movement on the ball and are less likely to mess up a combo or particular move etc.

its all in the mind, mate
if you have skills you will never "lose" them, you may become rusty for lack of practice, but if someone has skills they will always have them

thats not true, one of the principles of training, is known as reversability. This is when, if you take a break or stop doing a certain thing, you reverability effect will take place where you lose skill youve been practising. This can occur in little then 3 or so days.

that applies for fitness and strength, like distance running or resistance training, if you lift weights for 10 weeks you will get stronger, but if you stop for 10 weeks your back where you began...
this is due to the physical adaption of your body and would not apply to something like freestyle that is based on skill related aspects of fitness like balance and coordination as these things are determined mainly through mental adaption...

The body adapts to its environment. Your right, For example an elderly women maybe all she does everyday is walk around the house wash the pots etc... Where as a freestyler has to train everyday. These would both be different aspects of adaptation. Freestyle is same realy, If you only practise ground moves you will be only good at groundmoves.

this is interesting... what frustrates me is the wind more than anything.. if its too windy i literraly cant do an ATW because i play on a really open field and the wind becomes so strong that if u do a headstall it will blow it off...
if u go to a crowded area with ppl u will play better cos u want to show them ur skills

it was only fortune... u will be able to do this only in some periods if u don't train it... so, I've lost my weak foot tatw for 7 times... you train smth, then it's improved, then u lose this skill, then improve it again, and so on... by little steps u'll learn it... don't give up, my friend ;)
