Maradona, new failure
« on: Sep 09, 2009, 01:19: PM »
again... after losing 3-1, the "TEAM" did it again...
0-1 against paraguay... this puts argentina in the not qualifiyng position... now we depend on us, and on other results...
if there is any reason for argentina not qualifying, is to end with this lie, created by mr diego armando maradona...

really shit... we got the players, but doesent mean we have the team.... we need someone to build the game...Someone like Roman Riquelme, or "Rolfi" Montenegro... I just cant stand watching every player playing for themself's...they pretend to be stars, as they do or are in their respective teams...and the worst of all, they dont even seem to react... I mean after the 1-0 against Brazil they didnt do a fuck, they didnt even seem to be trying it. And everybody knows how it ended. Against Paraguay happend the same, fucking annoying.
Maradona isn't even a DT... he doesent have title... he is just a rookie... fucking depressive.
Since Maradona is on charge, he just won 2 of the last 6 games. Not caracteristic from argentina.
btw, im not just blaming Maradona.

you allready know my opinion...
yours??

if you finish 5th, i see you skull fucking concacaf 4th place provided it's not us or mexico (won't be in all likelihood). now, if argentina gets into the play-off and fires diego, i see them rolling over anyone from concacaf fairly easily over two legs.

maybe since maradona was the greatest player of all time, it is just right that he is a far below par manager.  argentina really need to change something, because a world cup without them would not be right.  if they get the qualifier, they will probably win easily over two legs. the away leg might be kind of tricky, but they will slaughter them in argentina as long as its not usa or mexico which is highly unlikely.

Does 5th get a playoff spot or only 4th?

Argentina isn't playing like a team and your frustration is justified.

Again, can someone explain to me why Veron is playing for that team?  He got a red card yesterday.  I refuse to believe they guy is back to his good days.

Look at their starting line up.  Besides Messi, it's really shit.  It's a very, very average team.  The defense is horendous!  Hell, I'd take Honduras, Mexico, and Ecuador over that side any day.

1 Sergio Germán Romero
8 Javier Zanetti
6 Gabriel Heinze
3 Emiliano Papa
2 Sebastián Domínguez
14 Javier Mascherano
5 Fernando Gago
17 Jesús Dátolo
18 Juan Verón
16 Agüero Sergio
10 Lionel Messi

That line up really isn't that good.  Considering everything, I think those sides would have a very good chance of beating that Argentina team.

so because the Argentinean NT wont click together and they all play like a bunch of self-centered heroes we point the finger at Maradona?

I know hes not the best coach seeing as hes really new to it and he was put there more for publicity but it's not all his fault. Its more the players if anything.
Ex. Is it a teacher's fault that his class wont do any work? He can try and try to get them to do it but if they dont co-operate, whats he gonna do? Fire them?

Just pointing out it aint all his fault. Argentina has enough talent for all of South Amer.

i don't  get what adi's saying about that team not being good. yes, there are a few questionable players in the lignup like veron and dominguez, but the overall team is full of strong players who perform week in week out for their clubs.  i would hate to see his standard for a really bad team if he thinks this team is weak. the problem is that a coach should be able to create some sort of cohesion between the players or find the right players who do. maradona probably never was the right man for the job, and hopefully they will qualify for the world cup despite their poor displays so far.
