http://www.soccer-blogger.com/2008/06/04/toffees-join-united-arsenal-in-race-for-ramsey/

The race for Cardiff City’s teenaged wonder Aaron Ramsey is heating up, and according to latest reports, Everton have had their £5m accepted by the Bluebirds. Manchester United and Arsenal have already made similar bids, with Liverpool reportedly considering making an offer for a player who has been tipped by many to reach Ryan Giggs’ stature.

Cardiff rejected a £1m from a London based Premiership club in June 2007 for Ramsey. Born on Boxing Day 1990, Ramsey became Cardiff’s youngest ever player when he featured as a substitute in their game against Hull City in the 2006-07 season.

United’s bid reportedly allows Ramsey to be loaned back to Cardiff in the coming season, and sources say that it would be the ideal one for everybody in the picture. Ramsey will gain sufficient first team experience in the Championship, and his fitness will not be affected.

Ramsey has already been called to the Welsh senior squad, but has yet to be capped for the Dragons.

he would've played at Barca next season, I think. Maybe he wants to be more of a big fish in a small pond instead of a small fish in a gigantic pond (talent-wise).

Im happy that Modric has gone to Tottenham

altidore to villarreal (to go out on loan to recreativo huelva) -- 10 million (us)

subotic to dortmund -- 5.4 millionish (us)

Great move for Altidore. I think it's perfect timing for him and his career. We have seen what Villareal has done with Rossi.

Subotic is another talent. The US should be very happy. He's a Bosnian that lived in my city (Banja Luka). Apparently, he played one season in college in the US before he got picked up by Mainz. Now he's off to Dortmund for a pretty nice fee. He must have some talent. My brother just added him on Facebook. I wonder what he has to say.

Luka Modric will hopefully fit in nicely in England. Lots of teams were after him but nobody wanted to pay the 15+ million pound asking price. Of course, an English team would.

Dos Santos is another excellent signing for them. They actually got him at a bargain. I really thought Dos Santos was valued higher. I wonder if there something wrong with him that Barcelona is aware of. :dontknow:

Barcelona is starting to look very strong. They have now picked up Daniel Alves. They better not underachieve next season.

I hear if Ronaldo leaves Man U, SAF will ask for Robinho and maybe Sneijder. If they can get those guys and another 20-40 million as planned, Man U would come out as thieves.

Either way, SAF seems to have problems with his players when they are wanted. Instead of finding common ground with them, he tends to go to the extreme, pissing players off. Just look what he did to star players like Ruud, Beckham, and now Ronaldo. He's gotta find a different way of going about things.

even so, hes been one of the best managers of the last 15 years, so he must be doing something right. And yes, Barca is looking mighty strong for next season.
