I wonder how much of those rumours are true. I think all the Chelsea rumours are crap. No way in hell can they sign Kaka and Messi.

On the other hand, Man U's targets seem more realistic. Those Sporting boys are great players. They only worry I have is the depth of the team. Too many players can be problematic as players struggle for playing time.

Tottenham Hotspur have won the race to sign highly-rated Croatia midfielder Luka Modric for a fee believed to be £15.8million. The club have agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old but must pass a medical.

Of course it was going to be an English team that was going to overpay for him. He's a young talent but he's not worth that much money. Tons of teams were after him but nobody wanted to meet the transfer requirements made by the Croatian club. Tottenham dives right in though just like they did with Bent last season.

Modric is like hundred times better than him. Only time will show is that wasted money, but I say NO,it's not.And they had to buy him before Euro 'cause after it his market value will grow rapidly...

16 million pounds is too much though. I know he's good but not that good. He's not fully proven yet. Heck, Bayern bought both Toni and Klose for less than that.

this actually really sucks. Now Quaresma, one of the best players in Portugal, will ot get that much playing time, or if he does, he'll be playing for a team that I dont like, even though he is one of my favorite players  :down:
