US v. Canada

Depending upon how the match-ups work themselves out, I can see you all qualifying for the WC.

maybe...but but you have no idea how shit our national program is. As well, we have 1 mls club whose main goal apart from winning is not to develop canadian players but to promote soccer in Canada

I know.

The MLS requires a certain number of players to be the nationality of the home nation of the club.  The MLS is looking to expand even further into Canada.

Also, the youth programs of the Whitecaps are showing very well internationally.  The talent is there.  It's just a matter of fusing the gap between the youth international and the full international levels.

That will get better in time.  The US still does not do well with this.  That will get better as a few more top flight professional clubs are founded or formed in Canada.

Remember, as recently as 1994 the US was fielding amateur sides in the World Cup.
