UEFA Champions League QUALIFYING ROUND
« on: Aug 17, 2009, 07:14: AM »
Now the title says Champions League but I suppose if we get bored we can talk about the Europa League.

Either way last round of qualifying is starting this week, the fixtures are:

Celtic FC - Arsenal FC
FC Timioara - VfB Stuttgart
Sporting Clube de Portugal   - ACF Fiorentina
FC Sheriff - Olympiacos FC
FC København - APOEL FC
PFC Levski Sofia - Debreceni VSC
Olympique Lyonnais - RSC Anderlecht
FC Salzburg - Maccabi Haifa FC
FK Ventspils - FC Zürich
Panathinaikos FC - Club Atlético de Madrid

The notable fixture being Celtic v Arsenal in Glasgow on Wed.18.

Well let all European discussioin begin (Can Barca retain, how will the English do, blah, blah, blah

What do you think of Fiorentina v Sporting?
I think Fiorentina should take it but Sporting know how to pull off great wins

Arsenal v Celtic, take your pick

the only worthwhile ones are

Celtic Vs Arsenal

Sporting Vs Fiorentina

Panathanicos Vs Athletico Madrid

the rest are predictable

Arsenal will win by 1 goal or draw at glasgow then finish the job at home

Good win for arsenal, i love the way they pass the ball, makes you love soccer
