Official Thread for the Bundesliga

Matches started last week on Aug 8/9 weekend with most teams starting where they left off

Day One fixtures were:

VfL Wolfsburg - VfB Stuttgart   2 - 0
Mainz - Bayer Leverkusen   2 - 2
N?g - Schalke 04   1 - 2
Hertha BSC - Hannover 96   1 - 0
Werder Bremen - Eintracht   2 - 3
Borussia - FC K?1 - 0
TSG Hoffenheim - Bayern Munich   1 - 1
VfL Bochum - M?engladbach   3 - 3
SC Freiburg - Hamburg   1 - 1

The notable fixtures: Wolfsburg starting the season where they left off with a win over Stuttgart, Hoffenheim stretch Bayern to the brink and unfortuntately have to share the spoils, and League newcomers SC Freiburg held title challengers, Hamburg to a 1-1 draw.

This weekend's fixtures:

Bayer Leverkusen - TSG Hoffenheim
Bayern Munich - Werder Bremen

- both of these could be interesting this weekend with none of the four teams starting the season with a win
Hannover 96 - Mainz
Eintracht - Nürnberg
Hamburg - Borussia
VfB Stuttgart - SC Freiburg
FC Köln - VfL Wolfsburg
Mönchengladbach - Hertha BSC
Schalke 04 - VfL Bochum

Well Ozil and Marko Marin both play for Werder Bremen so things could get interesting if either one of them is played

I think if Ozil can find his feet early in the season then he'll do really well and this game will be a huge test for his mental game

If i was the coach at Werder Bremen I would use Marin as a late impact sub for the tight games because his speed could run defenders into the ground especially 80min+

What do you guys think about Wolfsburg and their chances for this season and Champs League?

Bundesliga will be interesting this year.  There are about 8-10 teams that are good and can push sides like Bayern, Wolfsburg, Hamburg all the way.

Hence why its the best league in the world *cough cough*  and most competitive

Im really hoping that Dzeko and Grafite light things up in Europe because they're really special together and Misimovic is quite the talent

Hamburg should do well with Petric and Berg up front and the summer signing of Ze Roberto to strengthen the midfield
