Premier League "outside top 4 team"
« on: Jun 20, 2009, 11:52: PM »
Does anyone think a team made up of players outside the top 4 teams would win the Prem.

Here is my team:

                  Given

Johnson Woodgate Lescott  Baines

            Arteta   Barry

      Robinho  Modric  Young

                  Carew

Subs:
Defoe
Ireland
Milner
Valencia
Hangeland
Crouch
Green

....I don't think the team I came up with could. Maybe I am missing players.

im not sure about winning because u need a fair amount of chemistry and balance to make them a title winning side
But i think its possible TBH because if this team was just put together than the Big 4 wouldnt know how to play against them, so it goes both way

Alright, don't look too deep into it. If this was a team that had spent a normal amount of time together, so everything even with top four, do you think the quality of players would be good enough? I don't think so.

A) i just realized that id put Fellaini on the bench (if not starting)
B) then no, it just wouldnt work. Theres a reason that Big 4 pay their players millions and there's a difference in skill/class/whatever u wanna call it

Oh no! You have picked Micah Richards and Pennant in your team. What are you playing at?

wow, pennant? thats a bit of a waste. Id rather have Stefan Pienear really.

For Fellaini, thats the problem because hes a CDM/CM/CAM/CF all in one so there isnt really a place to put him YET. I think he will be a revelation in Belgian football mainly because hes a big boy who's got a nice touch

I think he'll be alright. He reminds me a little of Michael Ballack. Not as technical as the German but two feet, good in the air, bit of height etc.

Pennant isn't bad at all. Besides, you've got Arteta, the wanna-be Fabregas.

Arteta is ledge, the whole game goes through him at Everton.

You have also got Samba playing. Are you taking the piss? On what planet are you if you think Samba is better than the likes of Woodgate?
