Fx: nobody can not live from freestyle so go to the school !!!!!!!!
I'm surprised how Dan didn't notice the double negation.
Anyways, just because he wasn't able to do it, doesn't mean other people can't. I think everyone of us can name quite a few people who've made it.

And about the motivation issue, maybe he expected more from freestyle and those expectations didn't come true for him. But I don't believe that people lose motivation after 3 years of freestyling, I think it's about how you experience it.

More you've achieved less motivation you have for freestyle.

hehe funny to see that Fx goes fishing sometimes  maybe he can do atr ( around the root)  no just kidding ;)
as you all said it really seems like he is not even impressed of what he can do now and he isn't inspired anymore
for the this sounds a bit sad lol
what I liked to hear is that he will be sponsored by the army and can still practice freestyle there

Depends what motivates you and which things you see as achievements.

To learn to succeed, you must first learn to fail.
It's what you do that counts, but it's how you do it which separates you from the rest.
You can't have creativity unless you leave behind the bounded, the fixed, all the rules.

I think I would be more motivated if I were as good as he. Imagine the possibilities he has.

OMG
Just imagine that every training you should repeat almost all the stuff you can do and then find the time and strength to learn smth new. It's soooo hard, after it you have no motivation for doing smth else except sleeping

I agree with leha, if you freestyle that much, you eventually lose interest it doesn't matter what sport it is. In the end if you do it too much i think most people get bored. Even if you're really good like a pro football player, I doubt they go play football with their friends in their free time since they practice so much they get quite bored.

it might feel like you wouldnt get bored since you havnt gone through the process of so much practicing the same stuff all the time.

I actually agree with this.  Its probably a poor comparison, but when I got to number 1 in north and south america in a racing video game I lost all motivation to improve.  Its like you repeat the exact same thing over and over until you get good at it, but once you are THE BEST or one of the best at it, then it is very hard to get motivated and say, well maybe I can still do it better with more repetitive practice.

Maybe its just me, but this was kind of a depressing interview.

There is more to freestyle than lowers. If he really wanted to be the best then he would train all styles.

Higher your level of one style - harder to force yourself to train other styles, and there is no motivation for it at all.
