Twas amazing because
a) no one closed him down
b) no one (mainly keeper) was expecting a bullet from there, 36yards out

well, yeah.  the last thing i'm thinking about when i'm 35-40 yards out is "oh, shit, close down the shot."  you have to pick your moments w/players like that anyway

helton was just beaten

sometimes you just need to say "what the fuck?"

notice how he does a little hop for it before he realizes he was beaten, its cuz he wasnt expecting the shot, which he shouldve seeing as ronaldo CAN hit the dam thing pretty hard and he had like a 5foot radius of empty space around him

or he just couldn't get a read on the ball.  as soon as ronaldo receives the ball, it screams shot

expecting him to hit a 40 yard shot across the keepers body at 65 miles per hour, not so much

overall it was a nice shot especially under the circumstances even if Helton if prone to mistakes and isnt the most dependable goalie in the world

whatd u guy say bout next round?

TBH besides todays FA Cup defeat to Chelsea (84min goal), I say we r gonna see another Barca - Arsenal final. Then again Man U can never be counted out seeing as they always seem to pop one in and keep shit tight at the back

Chelsea can probably give Barca a run for their money but i say barca go thru 3-2 on agg.

thoughts?

Well I'm sick of these Chelsea v Man Utd finals; (last year, probably FA Cup this year, and MAYBE Champion's League again), so I want Barcelona to win.

United v Barca
Ronaldo v Messi
