Well I don't think anyone could speak their mother language perfectly, well I don't know how to explain it... but anyways.

I got a 63 in English.

Academic, but I think I could've done better if I tried a bit more. :)

I chose University level English for Grade 11 (next year) though. Obviously I have to try harder and whatnot. What path have you taken so far, and are you going to York?

If I go to Canada, I'd go to either U of T or Kings in Halifax, but I'm probably going to the states. I want to go to a small liberal arts college and do a double major in creative writing/english literature and philosophy. What do you want to do at York? That place is kinda fucked up right now what with the strike and the tension between the various factions in the student body. But it has some excellent faculty.

At my school, there is only one english, and it's harder than academic. English and philosophy are my favorite subjects, and I'm doing one english course a year ahead because it's my thing. I'm taking two english courses, and oddly enough I'm doing better in the one in which I skipped a year than in the regular one.

Wow really? You've really got some good things going for you.

I've always wanted to go study abroad somewhere, but at the moment, it's changed because there are some things here which I don't want to leave behind lol. I want to go somewhere for Business, or something similar.

You're right about York and I'm kind of surprised as to why I said that. I guess there are alternatives such as U of T?

are you open to leaving toronto? Because if you are, you could go to Western (really good school), Wilfred Laurier (about the same as York, except without the strikes), McGill (really good school), Kings (great foundation year program), Dalhousie (solid school), or UBC (Good school)

it also depends on what you want to do. U of T has a good business school I think, and so does Western (Western is really close to Toronto), but they're harder to get into than York.

I just did my SATs, and I'm gonna need a bit better to get into where I want to go in the states easily. I got a 2100 on my SATs, but I want a 2200 to be safe, so I'll do them again in a few months. But I'm getting tired of the whole process and am starting to think that the entire educational system is bullshit.

I only know this shit because my parents are cracking down on me this year to get into good schools, while all I really want to do is chill by myself and with friends, play soccer, read, and listen to/play music.

The archetypal struggle between parent and child, no?

Wow man you really know your stuff! ;)

What courses do you think I should take in order to get into a good school for business? Next year I'm taking Accounting, and Computer Science (building programs and stuff). I have a Grade 9 Introduction to Business Credit, and I believe I should have a bit more.

Should we start a new thread regarding this stuff?
