Why the anger, Sander?

One of you are correct in your guessings, of course, but you do not have the correct reason to why this would happen.

hmm, since pressure is a force, wouldn't the measurement of weight of the bucket and the water be a measurement of the bucket and the pressure (related to area-constant, height-changed and density-constant of the fluid) that the water exerts on the bucket and in turn transfers to the support of the scale?

the volume and mass doesnt change, the height does, increasing the pressure of the water at the bottom as ther is slightly more water and weight  on top of it. so the scales change slightly?

so you're saying, A;s and James, that since the pressure at the bottom increases (as the height of the water level increases), the weight on the scales increases as well?

Well, if that would be, then would a thin bucket weigh more than a wide bucket (when filled with equivalently much water), because the pressure is higher in the thin one?
Nah, it'd weigh the same, since the same amount of water is in it.

Do you wanna hear the answer to this one?

i was asking

the pressure of the wide bucket is applied over a wider area.  it would follow that the same force would be applied but a less concentrated one

and yes, i would like to hear the answer
