Are you talking about right now? Because no way in hell is anywhere near greats of all time CM. Right now Cesc Fabregas, Andrea Pirlo, Gago, Micheal Essien still he isn't better than any of them.

Gerrard is on the same level as Fabregas, Pirlo and Essien. It's too hard to distinguish between these as they all play slightly different center mid roles. Gago is not on their level yet. I would put Guti ahead of Gago, even though he's not as consistent. He's still a better player than Gago.

I Said he wasn't better than them.

Riquleme has never been good enough to win wolrd player of the year.... 1 excellent season does not merit that especially when there where a lot of better players then him... he doesn't have the x factor which is the difference between an excellent player... and a great player... if you cant see that your a fool .

ill give you tht arsene wenger and fergie are more successful managers at the moment... but they are at bigger clubs....but i dont think i made my point clear it was a bit vague... wot i should of said was... Gerrard took an average team to win the champions league final.... he has everything.... he can defend..attacked pass...head... he has got it all... unfortunatly he needs to move clubs before he becomes stale. or liverpool need to be shaken up a bit.

ok, first of all.

liverpool DID deserve to win cl 05, they fought until the end and they never gave up, thats what makes a great team.

zidane is NOT the best player ever, i think indisputably the best has to be  Maradona, i dont give a damn about what he does in his spare time, but on the field he was the best ever, and noone will ever be able to do what he used to do day by day.

Messi is not overrated, he is a amazing player, with amazing skills, a great understanding of what to do when the ball touches his feet, and noone can say hes not great.

Cristiano Ronaldo is disliked by soo many people because of the model and advertisement thing (same as Becks) but CR and DB are both great proffessionals, and they both leave everything on the field, Beckham had one of the most accurate legs in football history, and CR is proving what he can do on the field, every game he plays is a pleasure for the eyes, he always finds the way to humiliate his oponnents.

oliver kahn for me is the best goalkeeper ever.
England has had many teams that deserved top 5 Globaly, you cant say the 1966 dream team, with Charlton, Gordon Banks etc.. diddent deserve top 5.

england has produced loads of great footballers through out the years.

gerrard and riquelme cant be compared, cuz as they play similar positions, one of them (riquelme) is much more forward than Gerrard, but personally gerrard has a better leg (shot, pass, control) riquelme has better vision, definition and dribble.
