If you base the entire tournament only on the final, than I guess you have a point.

For me the only controversy was Korea's win over Spain. Brazil had a great team, legitimately better than any other team in the tpurnament. The 3 R's were unstoppable, and they won.

When you want to look at all the world cups they all have surprises and messed up outcomes for the most part so you can't say they're all rigged or something, it just looks like some countries manage to play some messed up games lol or at least it would seem.

noo the reason for weird scorelines back in the days were from the standards. football wasnt taken as seriously with all the issues of diet tactics and living style like they are now.
if u look at the greats from the 60s some of the goals they scored look not  so good to the modern eye, but at the time they were a heck of a goal. the standards of defenders in general werenot so good backthen too

Nah sonny I disagree. I think a collect of players from back in the day are much tougher than players today, with those heavy boots, balls, pitch conditions and kits. Not to mention all the fouls the referees used to allow most footballers today are pussies. I've seen the fitness training from the 60~s it was intense stuff running outside in the freezing cold and wet topless.Those guys seemed to be tougher than nails. Take them from that era and allow them to play in these conditions it would be easier for them. And if you where to take todays players back to those conditions they would struggle.
