yes arshavin should get player of the tournament.  he's had a hand in all of russia's goals and they've played magnificently since he's been back in the team.  If arsenal get nasri and arshavin they will have playmakers coming out of their ass.  They've still got rosicky right?

There has been talks about Abromavich wanting to bring Arshavin to Chelsea. But damn Russia owned Holland, that was domination. If you ask me forger Portugal, Spain, Netherlands. Russia play the best football the was they move the ball from end to end, especially the off the ball movement of the players around the ball has been great.

i just knew something like this was gonna happen. we can't keep that shape that we had against italy in france forever and of course guus hiddink knows everything about us and we knew few about russia so they also had an advantage. and kolodin shoud have had red in the last minute, because the ball didnt go out, if that happened holland would propably dominate again and win. i'm really pissed off now  :cursing: and don't say 'russia deserved it' because i know they were a bit better over the whole match but i'm just dissapointed

Russia completely deserved to advance today. They were world-class and dominated Holland for the most part. This Russian team really is special. They are extremely fit, work hard, and have just enough skill to play with the big teams.

Arshavin, for me, is the player of the tournament so far. He's done some incredible things. I just wonder what big European team will snap him up first. For some reason, I have a feeling the big teams will pass up on him because he's not a big name player yet. That would be a real mistake though as he's proven himself against the best teams and in the biggest competitions.

Congrats Russia! Keep bringing us this great football and we won't mind seeing you advance over bigger teams.

without him tho i think russia dont look anywhere as good, he gives him that spark.
quality player no doubt, but he gives me the impression that he is a bit of a dick too..

To be completely honest with you, I was set on Arshavin before this tournament. I watched him play in all the knockout matches of the UEFA Cup for Zenit. He dominated in that competition as well. His performances in the EURO are just reassurances of the quality player that he is.

i only saw him in final of uefa cos i dont really follow that comp. except the final and the occasional english team (if not everton)
but he looked good as a playmaker.. very clever player. not sure if he will score loads of goals tho, but he will create many.
