Auch! Kick boxing injury

Looks painful as hell :/

I thought its thaiboxers though, not kickboxers, who are supposed to use their shins while kicking

Muay Thai is a type of kickboxing. It's actually common practice now to use your shin to kick. Many traditional styles like karate and TKD instruct the use of the foot to kick instead of the shin, but many have even adapted using the shin as well. The main thought is you are less likely to hurt your shin than your foot. Your foot is a bunch of small bones, and it's much easier to damage it. The shin bone is quite strong, so it takes alot of punishment to really damage it.

Mark Hominick

Shane Carwin

Darryl Boyce- This is not actually MMA. He plays hockey, and he ran into the glass or something. Probably the most ridiculous injury though.

In other news, I sparred kickboxing with  take downs yesterday at my  MMA training. It was the first full contact sparring I've done in about 2yrs. My opponent is training for his first amateur fight. He's also 6'4'' and 200lbs. I'm 5'10'' 185lbs at the moment. To make a long story short, I got my ass kicked. Fortunately, my picture isn't worthy of this tread at the moment. I defended well enough I guess. Lol  I did land a few decent shots myself, but I'm definitely suffering from severe ring rust. His side kick to my face really brought me back to reality. Gotta train harder to prevent from having to post my picture on this thread.
