You don't know Mourinho then.  He buys what he thinks is needed on his team.  He doesn't need anymore start players.  There is a reason he hasn't bought a star yet.  He needs workers with skill around those stars.

I think Sahin is a great buy.  Great price, young player, already plays at top level, and he's only going to go up.  Alonso is not good enough for that team and he doesn't give them enough on either end of the pitch.  I think Sahin will take Alonso's spot so they can play like this:

---------- Ronaldo ------- Ozil ------ Di Maria/New Player
--------------------- Sahin ----- Khedira ---------------------

Hard working, skilled, and disciplined German triangle in the middle - just how he likes it.

no way man, alonso is great! he rarely loses the ball and plays accurate short and long passes. Also, he is the type of player madrid count on as the disciplined holding midfielder who consistently gives the back four a lot of protection from driving runs through the middle. And his work rate is always very good. He is like busquets at barca, but has better passing abilities.

Also di maria has been a revelation this year. His eye for a pass and incredible dribbling abilities make him undroppable.......and he is one of the most hardworking players on the team. So there will not be any new player to take his starting spot.

And yeh i agree that the team does not need anymore stars. I was just saying that they should not replace any current stars with youth acadamy players because the stars are important.

very strong rumours of kaka heading back to AC Milan. Berlusconi said he wants him and no one at madrid have come out to deny the rumour or say they want him to stay......hmmmmm. Very possible i think.
But where will he play? Seedorf, boateng and cassano are all good and play in his position already :017:
And bayern finally got neuer for 15 million euro.....plus performance related bonuses of course

Alonso didn't have a very good season.  I don't know what you're talking about.  He hasn't performed as well as he was supposed to.  His passing is good but his defense is nothing special.  He's getting old and very average.  Gareth Barry average.

Di Maria came in looking good but hasn't really been playing well for most of the season, especially when it came down to the bigger games.  He's a pretty good player but his role on Madrid should be to come off the bench.  He doesn't provide much passing.  He's a direct player who takes people on.  Madrid has too many of these types of players.  They are way too direct and that's why you see them just booting the ball when they play a top team like Barca.

And Bayern got Neuer?  Nice!  Still gotta go read about that.

so strange how bayern president announced an agreement with schalke for neuer and then Schalke and Neuer himself deny it :017: He said it just needed to be formalised which i suppose meant that all details were agreed. Anyway i think they are just stalling a bit so that it does not look like neuer was a bayern player while playing for schalke.

And these rumours about sneijder and ashley young confuse me. Personally i think they are both highly over-rated. And there is no space for either of them in the manutd team......especially sneijder.
Ps. I do not have anything against dutch players i just think the current crop are very average. I know in some other threads i trash van persie, van der vaart, sneijder and kuyt, but i really do not understand how they are valued so highly. They have no flair and are too predictable. Hope Kingnut does not see this cause he may give me some nasty insults haha :cheesy:

Perišić to B.Dormund - done deal, 5 year contract! Looking forward to seeing him play on a higher level next season, I hope he turns out to be a quality player for Croatia in the future.

BTW, Kaka and Higuain were injured for most of the season, that's why they didn't play and why some players like Benzema were playing instead. If they were fit from the start, it would've been an entirely different story.

Also, Khedira playing instead of Lass during the entire season, can someone explain this to me? Honestly, I don't see anything special in Khedira and every time Lass has come on, there was a noticeable difference.

What they need (and have been in need for the last couple of seasons) is a bit more quality in the back four. Carvalho has been a great buy, but he ain't getting younger, Pepe seems to be having Vietnam flashback during matches in the last 2-3 seasons and doing crazy shit, resulting in red cards and Marcelo is still crap in defence, although he has improved, so a CB and a LB would would be nice, IMO. :)

fabio coentrao has come out and said he wants to play for real madrid and will only leave benfica for madrid because they are "the best in the world" and "have the best coach in the world". Cannot argue with him there  Hala Madrid!
But honestly i don't think madrid need a left back. Marcelo is great......probably the best left back in the world along with coentrao.

Also, according to schalke president a fee has been agreed with bayern for neuer but they have not accepted the bid :wtf: , and the saga continues........

:017: i do not know who is pork and cheese boy lol, but ummm.....no more news on coentrao yet. But Mourinho has recently confirmed the rumours that he wants to buy him and there was one report that said a transfer fee was agreed, but nothing official yet. Also, mourinho says madrid have not spoken to coentrao yet because "madrid do not approach players until a transfer fee is agreed" :cheesy: I don't know who mourinho is trying to fool with that statement lol.

And coentrao rejected bayern's approach for him so bayern got rafinha instead......and also officially got neuer now as well. The back and forth saga is over :sign0098:

Accordingly, Barca is in the race to buy Alex Sanchez.
Quote
Reports claim the Spanish and European champions are willing to offer Udinese a fee of around €25million (£22.3m) plus 23-year-old winger Jeffren Suarez to secure the services of the in-demand Sanchez.

Lukaku wants to move to one of the top 3 teams in the Premier League.

"I'll be going to one of the top two or three clubs in England - or else I'll stay at Anderlecht.

"I want to leave, because I want to score goals in a stadium where there are 50,000 people, and play in the Champions League."

Chelsea look to be very much in the driving seat as they are also involved in talks over Gent star Kevin de Bruyne.
