Maybe that was the case with previous generations, but now you can see more than a few Asian guys who's style isn't their best attribute.

On the other hand, nearly all Swedish freestylers that I know of have good style.

not for lower combos though, its usually horrible, only one with good lower styles seem to be tokura and UMI

you forgot to mention yu-j, his lower style got to be the best in japan
